Dormitories
The University of Gdansk provides a limited number of places in its dormitories. All nominated Erasmus+ students will receive detailed email instructions on how to apply online for student housing. The email will be sent by the staff of Cooperation and International Relations Office. The booking system will be activated at a specified time and date, ensuring all students have equal opportunities to apply. The allocation of housing operates on a first-come, first-served basis, meaning not every student may be accommodated in a dormitory.
First (winter) semester & whole academic year students
The dormitory registration starts in July 2026. Accepted students will be sent booking details and instructions via email in July 2026.
Second (summer) semester students
The booking system link & instructions will be sent in the beginning of January 2027.
Housing assignments will be announced immediately after you register - you will receive an automated email with the confirmation.
You cannot change the dormitory after registration!
The cost of accommodation is ~900 PLN (€220) per month, depending on the dormitory.
The price list for 2026/2027 will be announced soon. Check the Price List from the previous year for comparison. Prices could be higher next year.
Please note that we provide a place, not the whole room!
Single occupancy rooms are available ONLY for students with disabilities! If applicable, first, reserve a place in the dormitory where there are single rooms, then contact erasmus.incoming@ug.edu.pl.
Requests to cover both rents for a double room will be denied.
If you wish to share a room with a friend, you both need to first reserve a place in the same dormitory, and then send an email with the roommate request to erasmus.incoming@ug.edu.pl.
First possible move-in date: 28.09.2026
Last possible move out date (for the first semester): 14.02.2027
Last possible move out date (for the second semester and whole academic year): 30.06.2027

Directions from the Airport
Option 1 - By 122 bus
The tickets can be purchased from the ticket machine located at the terminal or from the bus driver (you must have polish zloty change). The bus stop is outside the arrival hall and the timetable can be found there as well.
- Go to the bus stop Port Lotniczy 02
- Get on the bus,
- If you have a ticket already, punch it in the machine onboard. If you don’t, buy it from the driver & validate it in the punch machine,
- Ride 31 stops (about 55 min),
- Get off at Kamienny Potok SKM 02 bus stop,
- Change to bus number 21 or 31 or S,
- Buy a new ticket from the driver or use the unused tickets left from the earlier purchase,
- Ride 3 stops (5 min),
- Get off at Bohaterów Monte Cassino 02,
- Walk to the dormitory (4 min).
Option 2 - By train
The train station is located outside of the arrival hall, straight across from the exit.
The tickets can be purchased from the ticket machines located at the terminal or on the train platform.

- Travelling from Gdańsk Port Lotniczy to Sopot
- If there is no direct train then get on a train to Gdańsk Wrzeszcz station,
- Get off at Gdańsk Wrzeszcz, change to a train to Sopot ,
- Get off the train and walk to the dormitory (about 10-15 min).

Directions from the Airport
Option 1 - By 122 bus
The tickets can be purchased from the ticket machine located at the terminal or in the jakdojade.pl app. The bus stop is outside the arrival hall.
- Go to bus stop Port Lotniczy 02,
- Get on the bus,
- If you have a ticket, punch it in the machine onboard,
- Ride 15 stops (about 30 minutes),
- Get off at Biblioteka Główna UG bus stop,
- Walk to the dormitory (11 minutes)
Option 2 - By SKM train
The train station is located outside of the arrival hall, straight across from the exit.
The tickets can be purchased from the ticket machines located at the terminal or on the train platform.
- Travelling from Gdańsk Port Lotniczy to Gdańsk Przymorze Uniwersytet or Strzyża,
- Get off the train and walk to the dormitory (about 15-20 minutes).
If there is no direct train, then get on a train to Gdańsk Wrzeszcz station. Next, change to a train to Gdańsk Przymorze Uniwersytet or Strzyża station.

Before you arrive
The price depends on the standard of a particular dormitory.
All dormitories accept payments via bank transfer, online, card, or cash; however, cashless transactions are preferred. You can pay at the front desk (reception) by cash (PLN) or card upon your arrival. The first payment includes the deposit (one month's rent) and at least one month's rent. The rent must be paid until the 15th of each month, which covers the full month. You are welcome to pay for multiple months upfront if you wish so.
You will be provided with a pillow and a blanket only; however, we recommend getting your own set of duvets, pillows and bedding covers as well as towels, cutlery, mugs, plates, cooking utensils, pots and pans. Do not worry if you forget something – you can buy it cheaply after your arrival.
There is a shared laundry room in the dormitory. Some washing machines are operated with tokens available to buy at reception. The cost of a token is 4,50 PLN and it is good for one washing (1 washing = 1 token = 4,50 PLN). The iron is available upon request.
Upon your arrival, you may apply for Internet access. The cost is included in the rent. There is no Wi-Fi in Dormitory No. 7, but an Ethernet cable connection can be provided upon prior application. If you wish to use this service we encourage you to bring your own cable.
Wi-Fi is available on the campus (eduroam).
Private accommodation
You may find an accommodation in a private dormitory. Please mind that the prices of rooms are much higher than those of the UG dormitories. Check our Welcome Guide for tips.

Please note the Erasmus+ Office is not involved with any matters regarding private student housing at Student Depot in Gdansk (or any other private accommodation).
